Privacy Policy

Zhon1 Tech Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”) provides quoting software for Australian solar businesses. This policy explains how we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
What we collect
- Account information: your first and last name, mobile phone number, email address and password (stored as a salted hash by our authentication provider; we never see plaintext passwords). We collect your name and phone number so we can identify and contact the people using each account.
- Business data: your company name, Australian Business Number (ABN) and business address, pricing configuration, team membership and roles. We verify the ABN against the public Australian Business Register to confirm the business is genuine.
- Quote records: quotes your team chooses to save, which may include a customer name or reference your staff enter.
- Billing data: subscription status and invoices. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor; they never touch our servers.
- Technical data: essential cookies for sign-in sessions, and (only with your consent) analytics about how the product is used.
Why we collect it
- To provide and secure the Service (authentication, tenant isolation, audit logs).
- To process subscriptions and send transactional email (receipts, password resets).
- To improve the product, where you have consented to analytics.
- To meet legal obligations, including tax and accounting requirements.
Third parties we share limited data with
To verify a business ABN we send the ABN to the Australian Business Register's public ABN Lookup service. We do not sell personal information to anyone.
Where your data lives
Our primary database and file storage are hosted in Sydney, Australia. Some service providers we rely on (for example Stripe for payments and our web hosting provider) may process limited data outside Australia; we choose providers with strong security practices and contractual safeguards.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your cookie preference. Analytics cookies are used only if you choose “Accept all” in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the page footer.
Disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We disclose it only to the service providers needed to run the platform (hosting, authentication, payments, email), when required by law, or with your consent.
Security
- Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256 by our database provider).
- Row-level security enforcing per-company data isolation at the database layer.
- Least-privilege access to production systems and audit logging of pricing changes.
Access, correction and deletion
You may access and correct your account information in the app. To request a copy or deletion of your personal information, email info@zhon1tech.com; we will respond within 30 days. Some records (for example tax invoices) must be retained for statutory periods.
Data breaches
We maintain a breach-response process consistent with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme and will notify affected users and the OAIC where required.
